About Rosen Method
Rosen Method Bodywork takes place on a massage table and involves gentle, direct touch using hands that listen rather than manipulate. As the client becomes more relaxed, their breath deepens and unconscious feelings, attitudes and memories may emerge. Susan has been trained to notice subtle changes in muscle tension and breathing, and to acknowledge the responses with touch and words. Clients generally describe feeling lighter, more hopeful and able to breathe more fully. A reduction in muscle tension is also common.

Rosen Method bodywork is often used by people seeking relief from headaches, back pain, muscle tension, joint pain, injuries, insomnia, and chronic conditions like asthma and chronic fatigue. The work can be supportive for people seeking emotional healing and for survivors of trauma or abuse.
This type of healing bodywork is well known on both coasts and in many countries, including Germany, Switzerland, the U.K. and Austria. Its presence in the Midwest began about fifteen years ago.

Vision
Marion Rosen, founder of Rosen Method, had a vision of the whole person in which the body can function fully and breathe freely; a vision of human beings experiencing the whole range of emotions and sensations. Rosen Method bodywork and movement make possible the experience of joy and aliveness in the body.

Rosen Method bodywork is often recommended by doctors and psychotherapists and is a powerful tool for stress reduction and for reaching the body-mind connection through touch. Rosen Method is valuable for personal growth, for finding the path of the heart and soul in one’s life, and for living more fully in the present.
